CCM: Brand of Today & Tomorrow
In 2021, CCM joined Batu Kawan Berhad (BKB) and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the latter group. This is a highly strategic acquisition as it increases BKB’s market presence as a major chlor-alkali manufacturer. Together with its polymer coating business, BKB has an extended and direct market reach to the rubber glove industry through its CCM Polymers subsidiary.
In 2024, a corporate exercise was carried out to integrate BKB’s operational entities under 1 umbrella. That umbrella is CCM. Today, CCM has become the holding company for the BKB Industrial Chemical group of companies. Through its various subsidiaries, CCM has an extended market reach into various industrial segments managed solely by the “CHLOR-ALKALI” and “POLYCHEM” business units.

We are Malaysia’s leading manufacturer of organic and inorganic chemicals. In 2021, CCM became part of Batu Kawan Berhad (BKB), bridging the strengths of both groups — uniting chemical manufacturing expertise with logistics capabilities. This integration strengthens our position in chlor-alkali manufacturing and expands our reach into the rubber glove, wastewater, and broader industrial markets.
In 2025, a strategic corporate restructuring initiative was implemented to consolidate BKB’s operational entities under a single unified entity — the CCM Group. Today, CCM now manages and markets the products of MSCI and SSCB under the unified CCM brand, bringing together a diverse range of offerings under one cohesive identity. We operate as a diversified group, with each business segment playing a strategic role in driving our integrated growth across the chemical industry.
