Calcium nitrate is a highly water-soluble, inorganic compound with many applications. Being one of the only few calcium salts which is highly soluble in water, it is highly sought after as a form of rich calcium source for crop growth in the plantation sectors.
More importantly, calcium nitrate is a key component in the manufacturing of natural and synthetic rubber gloves. Its coagulating properties enhances aggregation of latex particles onto former surfaces which is then further treated to form the end glove article.
CCM’s calcium nitrate is brand is synonymous to the glove industry today. Highly recognised as an effective coagulant, both CALNITE & INNO+ is designed to cater to both high speed natural and synthetic rubber dipped products.
Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4) is a versatile inorganic acid with widespread applications including the production of gasoline, fertilizer, chemicals, paints, batteries, and many more. It is a viscous and colorless liquid that is highly soluble in water.
With its multiple properties of acidity, reactivity, and corrosivity, it is extremely versatile in nearly every industrial process in the world.
Sulphuric acid is primarily consumed to produce phosphate-based fertilizers via a phosphoric acid pathway. It is also common ingredient in many cleaning products such as drain decloggers & derusters.
Liquid alum, also known as aluminum sulfate, is a nontoxic chemical that has many uses especially in water & sewage treatment and paper making.
During water treatment, liquid alum is deployed as a coagulant to clarify drinking water and in lakes to reduce phosphorus levels.
Liquid alum is also used in personal care products such as deodorants as a deodorizer and in paper sizing applications to improve the resistance of paper against water absorption.
POLYALUMINIUM CHLORIDE COAGULANTS FOR WATER TREATMENT
For water treatment industries, coagulation plays a critical role in the removal of suspended and contaminated material substances from the treated water ensuring its safe release to the environment or for human consumption. Coagulation typically involves the addition of compounds that promote the clumping of fine floc into larger floc so that they can be more easily separated from the water.
A hugely vital compound in the industry is Polyaluminium chloride (otherwise known as PAC). With its high charge density, PAC is highly effective in coagulation and solids removal compared to other aluminium based coagulants in the market. At CCM, we offer high grade PAC for all water treatment applications be it for potable or wastewater applications.
PAC is a corrosive and acidic solution that's typically yellow in color and is typically characterized by its degree of basification. Other uses of PAC include within the oil and gas industries for oil refining where the product works as an oil-water emulsion destabiliser offering excellent separation performance. PAC is also used in the production of deodorants and anti-perspirant products as the active ingredients that essentially creates a barrier on the skin reducing levels of sweat. It is also serves as a coagulant in papermill wastewater.
Liquid sodium silicate, also known as water glass or liquid glass, has many applications, including:
-
Construction: Used in concrete, cements, and as a wall coating. Sodium silicate is also used in acid-proof construction, refractory applications, and to bind thermal insulating materials. Used for corrosion control.
-
Water treatment: Used as a flocculant which binds to colloidal molecules, creating larger aggregates that sink to the bottom of the water column.
-
Detergents and soaps: Used in soaps and detergents as an alkaline builder and dispersant.
-
Paper industry: Used as a deinking agent removing from paper fibers by suspending the ink in the soil and preventing it from redepositing.
-
Sulfur is a pale yellow crystalline solid that melts at around 115°C. It must be transported in a molten state because it crystallizes when it's not liquid, making it difficult to load and unload.
See Sen’s sulphur products comes in 2 grades:
-
Molten Sulphur (liquid)
-
Sulphur Powder (solid)
Sulphur is primary used for the production of sulfuric acid, in agriculture applications and in the rubber latex industry as part of the vulcanization process of rubber.
